Welcome to the Volunteering department! We organise engaging activities and events targeted at children and teenagers from primary and secondary schools which aim to spread joy while reducing academic and personal stress. We aim to foster a sympathetic community for children in hopes of contributing to their overall wellbeing. Through our continued acts of service and sympathy, we hope to spread awareness amongst the medical students of HKU and CUHK through the inclusive nature of our volunteering activities.

The Volunteering Department of MSPA aims at fostering a spirit of service by providing opportunities for medical students to contribute to the positive impact in the field of paediatrics.

Through organising hospital visits, and workshops and collaborating with other societies, the department serves as a platform for medical students to gain hands-on experience in paediatric healthcare settings, hence empowering them to become compassionate and dedicated healthcare professionals in the future.

Our first flagship event is the mindfulness workshop, which curated for teenagers due to the increasingly prevalent academic burdens on their mental health. By incorporating engaging lectures and interactive Mandala art games, we aim to not only educate teenagers about mental health but also equip them with effective coping strategies.
Next, we are hosting an MSPA carnival filled with intriguing game booths and crafts which are catered towards primary school students. In addition, we have designed group activities to enhance their communication and socialising skills.
